About ME
Carson Almand is a lover of history, people, places, ideas, creations, and anything that has a story. Because everything has a story. Through his performance he seeks to take these elements and bring them to life. There are so many things to draw from including books, movies, and all storytelling devices the world has to offer. He seeks adventure, and also wants to bring adventure to life through his performances. There is a journey in every project; things to be discovered, characters to meet, places to find, and goals to be achieved. Carson loves hiking, working outdoors, meeting new people, and learning new things. He takes all of the information he absorbs in the world and uses it to create performances that are real and captivating. Because stories, whether real or not, have a real impact and place in the world. And he wants to tell them and share them. STORYTELLING through ACTING and SINGING and taking the adience on an ADVENTURE.
Social Media Management
Social Media Marketing
My social media work for the university consists of marketing for performances, filming live content, posting university updates, and coordinating all information in the department, that is promoted in a well crafted, stylized way.
I am commited to providing post that are professional, creative, and engage with the university and community. My goal is that the work I do should garner a reaction, whether likes, purchased tickets, or simply an interest
I try to grow and improve my craft in ever post and piece of content I am creating. I always hope to improve my artistic efforts and the quality of work that I am doing.

Teaching and Community
Teaching and Mentoring
For the past two summers I have been a summer college resident at First Baptist Church Midlothian. I have led small groups, served as a leader at a multitude of events, and taught students, helping them grow and develop as individuals.
Mission Trips and Camps
Community involvement is very important to me, both locally and elsewhere. I have done mission trips for four years in Dallas, Memphis, and even in Germany. I've mentored and worked with kids at camp and helped to create fun, lively experiences.
Communication
I am a dual major in communication and understand how to collaberate with diverse people who have individual ideas and a collective goal. Writing, brainstorming, and public speaking are all skills I use both on and off the stage.
Poke-Pack Leader
I've lead college freshman during orientation week at the University and promoted my campus and program. I'm no stranger when it comes to presentation and introducing people to how things work and operate.
Volunteering
I love to volunteer and use my theatric skills in more personal settings. Whether teaching line dances to foreign students or facilitating improv lessons, I care about sharing my theatrical expertise beyond just the stage.
Study Abroad
Learning and travel
I love discovering new things, and learning as much as I can. Study Abroads have helped me in both ways as I've been able to explore places I've never been, and work to understand concepts and cultural aspects of life that differ from my own. These trips have taught me much and shaped me into who I am today!
London Study Abroad
I studied abroad in London, England for four months on a semester program. I commuted to class every morning and balanced school-work with cultural experiences. I traveled and learned and I have so many new experiences I can bring back and put in my work.
Panama Study Abroad
I studied abroad in Gamboa, Panama for 2 weeks, learning more native species and wildlife. One of the major skills we learned is how to research complex things and be able to communicate and present them in a more understandable way.
